There are automated tools like Microsoft FrontPage and Expression that can allow you to hook into a database but it is done at the most basic level. Microsoft NT Servers
Our services require that your site be located on an NT server to harness the power of the technology of the Microsoft Internet Information Server. Unlike the typical UNIX servers with CGI programming, you will see a performance speed that is not available with CGI programming.

If your web site is not presently on an NT server, we can provide you with an excellent Internet Service Provider which has a large array of NT servers waiting to be released with your next web site.

Active Server Pages
We use VBScript to create hand crafted Active Server Pages that will orchestrate the workings of your web site and the underlying database.

VBScript and ASP pages will give you a performance that you will not see from the typical UNIX servers on the web with CGI programming.

Access or SQL Server?
When we discuss your database requirements, you will have a choice of using a Microsoft Access database file for your data or the Microsoft SQL Server.

I should mention that the choice will depend on the amount of traffic on your site.

An Access database will handle normal traffic situations. It will also give you the freedom of downloading the database and using it locally on your computer as well.

On the other hand, the SQL Server is not portable but can handle much heavier traffic on the web. An example is the Microsoft Network Shareware Forum that gets about a million hits a day.

Also you can start out with an Access database and always upgrade later to the SQL Server.
